Explore the charming Kaleiçi old town, visit Düden and Kurşunlu waterfalls, see Hadrian's Gate, the Clock Tower, and enjoy panoramic views from the old harbor marina. Professional English-speaking guide. Your driver collects you from the hotel, so there is no parking to worry about in the narrow lanes of the old town. Expect a fair amount of walking on uneven stone, a little spray at the falls and several natural photo stops, which makes it a good first day for anyone new to the city. Mornings are cooler and the harbour quieter; late afternoon gives warmer light over the cliffs.

Visit three of Turkey's most impressive ancient sites in one day. Walk through Perge's colonnaded streets, see Aspendos Theatre (one of the best-preserved Roman theaters in the world), and explore Side's Temple of Apollo. Hotel pick-up and return in an air-conditioned vehicle are included, so the long stretches between the three sites stay comfortable. Set aside plenty of walking time on uneven marble and stone, and bring a hat, sunscreen and water — shade is scarce around midday. Spring and autumn suit this route best, and an early start keeps you ahead of the coach groups.

The ground truth
19 Mahmutlar hotels sit in our pickup index, so your driver gets the entrance, not the district.
Mahmutlar is a coastal neighbourhood of Alanya, running along roughly 12 kilometres of Mediterranean shoreline about 12 km east of Alanya's town centre, in Turkey's Antalya province. It's one of the busiest resort districts on this stretch of the Turkish Riviera, but it doesn't feel like a tourist strip — it feels like a real town that happens to sit on a beach. Thousands of Norwegians, Germans, Russians, Ukrainians and Brits own apartments here or return every winter, which is why Mahmutlar has a genuinely international, slightly year-round character that you don't get in purely seasonal resorts. Shops have signs in four or five languages, and the promenade stays lively even in January.
The beach itself is long, sandy-to-pebbly, Blue Flag in parts, and backed by a wide seafront walking and cycling path lined with cafés, fish restaurants and ice-cream stands. It's an easy, flat walk from most hotel areas, and at sunset it fills with families and long-term residents out for their evening walk rather than day-trippers. If your visit lines up with a Wednesday, don't miss the Mahmutlar pazarı — the weekly bazaar that draws shoppers from well beyond the neighbourhood for fresh produce, textiles, spices and household goods. Inland from the coast road, Mahmutlar blends into Kargıcak, its quieter, more residential neighbour, while Konaklı and Demirtaş continue the coastline further east toward Gazipaşa.
Mahmutlar's real advantage is how much there is within a short taxi ride. Alanya's old town — with Alanya Castle (Alanya Kalesi), the Red Tower (Kızıl Kule) on the harbour, Damlataş Cave and the famous Cleopatra Beach — is about 20–25 minutes west along the coast road. Heading inland, Dim Çayı (the Dim River) and Dim Cave (Dim Mağarası) are roughly 15–20 minutes away, popular for riverside trout restaurants, swimming holes and gentle rafting. For a full-day adventure, Sapadere Canyon is around 45–50 minutes by taxi and well worth the trip for its turquoise pools and wooden walkways. We regularly run guests out to all of these on request, as a one-way taxi or a half-day return trip — just tell us what you want to see and we'll quote a fixed price before you book.
We pick up and drop off at pretty much every hotel and apartment complex in the Mahmutlar–Kargıcak belt, but a few names come up constantly. Calista is a regular request from families booking well in advance; Senza Grand Santana sits close to the beach and gets a steady stream of our airport pickups; and Club Hotel Ulashlar is another address our drivers know without needing GPS. If you're booked into any of these — or anywhere else in the area — just give us the hotel name and we'll have a driver with a name board waiting at arrivals.
Antalya Airport (AYT) is the main gateway for Mahmutlar, and honesty matters more than a sales pitch here: it's a real drive, around 140 km, typically 1.5 to 2 hours depending on traffic and season — longer on a busy August afternoon, faster late at night. There is a closer option, Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport (GZP), about 35–40 minutes away, if your flight happens to land there instead. Either way, we do door-to-door private transfers, not shared shuttles: your driver meets you at arrivals, helps with luggage, and takes you straight to your hotel. No taxi rank haggling, no switching vehicles, one fixed price of a fixed fare confirmed at booking agreed before you travel.
Plenty of flights into Antalya land late at night or in the small hours, and that's exactly when a pre-booked transfer earns its keep — no language barrier, no searching for an open taxi desk at 2am, just your driver holding a sign with your name. We track flight numbers, so a delay doesn't leave you stranded. Pack for a warm, humid climate from May to October and a mild, occasionally rainy off-season the rest of the year, and bring a printed or saved copy of your booking confirmation just in case.
We're a small, family-run transfer business based in Antalya, not a call-centre with a fleet of branded limousines. We've been driving the Antalya–Alanya road long enough to know which junctions back up in summer and which routes save you twenty minutes, and we'd rather tell you the honest travel time than promise something we can't deliver. Book once, pay a fixed price, and let us handle the rest.
