Antalya Airport to Kestel private transfer

Kestel is a quiet coastal neighbourhood just east of Alanya's town centre, tucked between Oba and Mahmutlar along the D-400 coast road. Behind it, the ground rises gently into a green valley toward the foothills of the Taurus Mountains. Compared with the busier core of Alanya around Cleopatra Beach, Kestel feels almost residential: low-rise apart-hotels, family-run fish restaurants, small markets and breakfast cafés line streets that stay calm even in high season. It's become something of a favourite with long-stay holidaymakers, retirees and families - a lot of our Scandinavian, German and Russian guests come back to the same Kestel apartment or hotel year after year. We've been driving guests here from the airport for years, and honestly, we like Kestel precisely because it's unhurried while still sitting close to everything Alanya is known for. Drive a little way inland and you'll still pass banana greenhouses and citrus groves - this stretch of coast was farmland long before it was a holiday destination, and that character hasn't fully disappeared.

Kestel's beach is a long stretch of mixed sand and pebble, generally far less crowded than Cleopatra Beach in central Alanya. Sunbeds are mostly run by the beachfront hotels, and the sea shelves gently, which families with young children tend to appreciate. An evening walk along the coast road, followed by tea at a beachside café while the sun goes down over the bay, is pretty much the default evening here. Some guests walk or cycle further east toward Mahmutlar, where the beach widens and there's a proper dolmuş (shared minibus) line running back into Alanya.

The real advantage of staying in Kestel is how close it sits to almost everything worth seeing in Alanya. Head inland along the Dim River valley and you'll reach Dim Cave in about 15-20 minutes - a proper stalactite cave, with trout restaurants and river-side spots to cool off along the way, plus tubing and light rafting in summer. A short taxi toward the centre gets you to Alanya Castle, the Seljuk-era fortress crowning the headland (there's a cable car up if you'd rather not walk the climb), the iconic Red Tower (Kızıl Kule) at the old harbour, the historic Ottoman shipyard right beside it, Cleopatra Beach itself, and Damlataş Cave, long said to help with asthma. From Alanya Marina, boat trips run out to sea caves like Lovers' Cave and Pirates' Cave along the coastline below the castle. If you're here on a Friday, Alanya's famous weekly market is worth the trip - textiles, produce, and genuinely good bargaining. For a longer outing, Sapadere Canyon is roughly 40-45 minutes by taxi: wooden walkways above turquoise water, and one of the best day trips in the region.

Antalya Airport (AYT) is about 119 km from Kestel - roughly 1.5 to 2 hours on the motorway in normal traffic, sometimes stretching to 2.5 hours during peak summer congestion. We won't pretend the distance is shorter than it is, but we do make the journey as comfortable and predictable as possible. As soon as you land, our driver meets you in the terminal with a sign showing your name, takes your luggage, and drives you straight to your hotel. The price is a fixed fare confirmed at booking, agreed before you get in the car - if your flight lands late, or traffic is heavier than usual, we don't add extra charges. It's a private, door-to-door transfer with no detours to other hotels along the way, straight to your address in Kestel.

The much smaller Gazipaşa Airport is technically closer to Alanya, but flight options there are limited, so the vast majority of our guests still land at Antalya - it's the route we know best.

We cover late-night and early-morning landings as standard. We track your flight, so if it's delayed, our driver simply waits at the terminal - no extra fee. Larger families get a bigger vehicle; couples or solo travellers get a sedan. Just let us know in advance if you need a child seat or have extra luggage, and we'll have it ready at no additional cost. One small thing specific to Kestel: because the neighbourhood is so quiet, even a midnight arrival ends with an almost empty stretch of coast road for the last ten minutes - a genuinely calm way to finish a long travel day.
