Lara is Antalya's own beach district, a long sand strip east of the city where the themed mega-resorts stand — the ones built as a Kremlin, a Venetian palace, a Topkapi. It is the closest resort area to the airport of any on this coast, and the only one where the city centre is a fifteen-minute drive rather than an excursion.
