Explore the charming Kaleiçi old town, visit Düden and Kurşunlu waterfalls, see Hadrian's Gate, the Clock Tower, and enjoy panoramic views from the old harbor marina. Professional English-speaking guide. Your driver collects you from the hotel, so there is no parking to worry about in the narrow lanes of the old town. Expect a fair amount of walking on uneven stone, a little spray at the falls and several natural photo stops, which makes it a good first day for anyone new to the city. Mornings are cooler and the harbour quieter; late afternoon gives warmer light over the cliffs.

Visit three of Turkey's most impressive ancient sites in one day. Walk through Perge's colonnaded streets, see Aspendos Theatre (one of the best-preserved Roman theaters in the world), and explore Side's Temple of Apollo. Hotel pick-up and return in an air-conditioned vehicle are included, so the long stretches between the three sites stay comfortable. Set aside plenty of walking time on uneven marble and stone, and bring a hat, sunscreen and water — shade is scarce around midday. Spring and autumn suit this route best, and an early start keeps you ahead of the coach groups.

The ground truth
27 Tekirova hotels sit in our pickup index, so your driver gets the entrance, not the district.
Tekirova is a small, low-rise resort village on the Mediterranean coast of the Kemer district, about 15 km south of Kemer town and roughly 65 km from Antalya Airport. It doesn't have Kemer's marina bustle or Antalya's big-city sprawl — its character comes from what sits around it: a thick belt of Mediterranean pine forest, the steep green wall of Tahtalı Dağı rising straight out of the sea, and, just a few minutes' walk or a short taxi ride away, one of the best-preserved ancient harbour cities on this coast. Most visitors here stay at one all-inclusive resort or another strung along the shoreline, and most barely need to leave the hotel gate to feel like they've found somewhere genuinely different from the rest of the Turkish Riviera.
The single biggest reason people recognise the name Tekirova is Phaselis, the ancient Lycian and later Roman port city sitting inside a pine forest literally on the edge of the village. Phaselis had three harbours instead of one, and you can still walk the old paved main street from the south harbour to the north, passing the remains of an aqueduct, baths, a small theatre and the agora, with turquoise water on both sides. It's a beach day and a history lesson in one trip, and it's the single most common taxi run we do from Tekirova hotels — most guests go in the morning before the site gets hot, swim at one of the bays, and are back for a late lunch.
Right by Tekirova, the Tahtalı cable car (Olympos Teleferik) climbs close to 2,400 metres up the mountain the ancients called Mount Olympos, and on a clear day you can see most of the Gulf of Antalya from the top station. It's a short taxi ride from any of the resorts and a good half-day trip there and back. Further south, about 30 minutes by car, Olympos ancient city sits right on a pebble beach that doubles as a nesting ground for loggerhead turtles in summer, and Çıralı's Chimaera (Yanartaş) — natural gas flames that have been burning out of the rock for centuries — is a classic evening excursion, usually timed so you walk up as the light fades. Göynük Canyon, popular for a morning of canyoning or zip-lining, is on the other side towards Kemer, and also an easy taxi trip.
Tekirova's own beach is a pebble shoreline shaded by pine trees, clean and calm rather than lively, with the mountain forming a dramatic backdrop behind the hotel gardens. There's no real old town or bazaar in Tekirova itself — for shopping, bars and a livelier evening, guests usually head up to Kemer's marina, a straightforward taxi ride of fifteen to twenty minutes. That split is actually what a lot of our regular guests like: quiet resort days in Tekirova, an evening out in Kemer whenever they feel like it.
We run transfers to every resort along this stretch of coast, and a good share of our Tekirova bookings are guests heading to Larissa Phaselis Princess, right by the ancient site itself, or to Marti Myra, one of the larger family resorts on the shore road. We also regularly take guests to Nirvana Dolce Vita and to Club Festival, both popular with returning holidaymakers who've already worked out exactly which beach chair they want. Wherever your hotel sits along the Tekirova shoreline, we take you to the door, not to a car park or a drop-off point down the road.
Antalya Airport is the gateway for almost everyone staying here, and it's an honest 65 km south-west of Tekirova — about 55 to 70 minutes by road depending on traffic on the D400 and the time of day. We meet you inside the arrivals hall with a name board, help with the bags, and drive you straight to your hotel reception for a fixed price of a fixed fare confirmed at booking, agreed before you fly, with no meter and no surprises at the end. Night flights are normal on this route — we track your flight, so a delay doesn't leave you standing at an empty kerb.
Once you're settled in, a local taxi is the easiest way to see anything beyond the hotel gate — Phaselis, the Tahtalı cable car, Kemer marina, Göynük Canyon or a day trip to Olympos and Çıralı are all within a short drive, and we're happy to arrange a return trip or a half-day hire if you'd rather not negotiate a price twice in one holiday.
