Explore the charming Kaleiçi old town, visit Düden and Kurşunlu waterfalls, see Hadrian's Gate, the Clock Tower, and enjoy panoramic views from the old harbor marina. Professional English-speaking guide. Your driver collects you from the hotel, so there is no parking to worry about in the narrow lanes of the old town. Expect a fair amount of walking on uneven stone, a little spray at the falls and several natural photo stops, which makes it a good first day for anyone new to the city. Mornings are cooler and the harbour quieter; late afternoon gives warmer light over the cliffs.

Visit three of Turkey's most impressive ancient sites in one day. Walk through Perge's colonnaded streets, see Aspendos Theatre (one of the best-preserved Roman theaters in the world), and explore Side's Temple of Apollo. Hotel pick-up and return in an air-conditioned vehicle are included, so the long stretches between the three sites stay comfortable. Set aside plenty of walking time on uneven marble and stone, and bring a hat, sunscreen and water — shade is scarce around midday. The ground truth
5 Selinus Beach hotels sit in our pickup index, so your driver gets the entrance, not the district.
Selinus Beach is the stretch of coast belonging to Gazipaşa, Antalya province's easternmost district, about 45 kilometres past Alanya on the road toward Mersin. Gazipaşa's ancient name was Selinus, and the beach and several hotels here still carry it. This part of the coast sits outside the main tourist circuit, threading between banana greenhouses and citrus groves down to the sea — which is exactly why it feels unhurried. Instead of a built-up resort strip, you get a row of small and mid-sized family-run hotels, quiet evenings, and fishing boats heading out at dawn. We've been driving guests out this way for years, so we know both the road and the hotels well.
The beach itself is a pebble-and-sand mix, the water clear and shallow enough for a good while out, which makes it an easy choice for families. Most hotels sit right on the seafront or a short walk from it. Gazipaşa's town centre lies a few kilometres inland, with a small fishing harbour and a local market worth a stop if you want a slice of everyday Turkish life rather than a resort bubble. Behind the coastline, the green foothills of the Taurus Mountains run down almost to the water — the landscape here is noticeably greener and less built-up than Alanya's.
Selinus shares its history with a Roman emperor: Trajan died here in the ancient harbour of Selinus in AD 117, returning from his Parthian campaign, and the Senate briefly renamed the city Traianopolis in his honour. Gazipaşa still holds traces of that history along with a small hilltop fortress, Gazipaşa Castle — a 5-10 minute taxi ride from most hotels.
A little further inland is Antiochia ad Cragum, the ancient site holding Turkey's largest single Roman-era mosaic, about a 20-25 minute taxi ride from Selinus Beach. Softa Kalesi, a Byzantine hilltop castle nearby, is worth the climb for the view alone.
Heading west toward Alanya (roughly 45 km, 40-45 minutes by taxi), you can reach Alanya Castle, the Red Tower (Kızıl Kule), Damlataş Cave, and Cleopatra Beach. Dim Cave, just outside Alanya, is a popular stop along the same route.
East toward the Mersin border, Anamur's Mamure Castle — one of Turkey's best-preserved seaside fortresses — makes a good day trip, around 45-50 minutes by taxi. We run day-trip taxi service on all of these routes for guests staying in Selinus Beach: pick-up, waiting time, and the ride back.
We transfer guests most often to Delfin Hotel, Evon Hotel, Grand Akça Otel, Port Selene, and Selinus Beach Club Hotel. We know these hotels' entrances, reception desks, and drop-off points because the majority of our Selinus Beach guests stay in one of them. Just give us your hotel's name when you book and we'll take you right to the door.
Antalya Airport (AYT) is the main gateway for Selinus Beach — the distance is around 151 kilometres, roughly a 2 to 2.5-hour drive depending on traffic. The coastal D-400 road usually moves well, though it can slow near Alanya in high summer, so we build in extra time.
A late-night landing makes no difference to us — we track your flight, wait if it's delayed, and never add a surcharge for it. We meet you at arrivals with a name board, help with your bags, and drive straight to your hotel. The price is fixed at a fixed fare confirmed at booking, agreed at booking — no surprises on arrival.
Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport (GZP) is a much closer alternative for some charter flights; from there the ride to Selinus Beach drops to about 20-30 minutes. If you're flying into GZP, we're happy to quote that route too.
You can holiday in Selinus Beach quite happily without a rental car — plenty of guests never leave the beach except for the odd taxi day trip to Alanya or Antiochia ad Cragum. We recommend booking your return transfer in advance, especially around late summer and public holidays when demand for cars picks up. Child seats are available on request, just mention it when booking. Travelling as a group usually works out cheaper per person once we know your numbers, so let us know how many you are.
