Explore the charming Kaleiçi old town, visit Düden and Kurşunlu waterfalls, see Hadrian's Gate, the Clock Tower, and enjoy panoramic views from the old harbor marina. Professional English-speaking guide. Your driver collects you from the hotel, so there is no parking to worry about in the narrow lanes of the old town. Expect a fair amount of walking on uneven stone, a little spray at the falls and several natural photo stops, which makes it a good first day for anyone new to the city. Mornings are cooler and the harbour quieter; late afternoon gives warmer light over the cliffs.

Visit three of Turkey's most impressive ancient sites in one day. Walk through Perge's colonnaded streets, see Aspendos Theatre (one of the best-preserved Roman theaters in the world), and explore Side's Temple of Apollo. Hotel pick-up and return in an air-conditioned vehicle are included, so the long stretches between the three sites stay comfortable. Set aside plenty of walking time on uneven marble and stone, and bring a hat, sunscreen and water — shade is scarce around midday. Spring and autumn suit this route best, and an early start keeps you ahead of the coach groups.

The ground truth
Kaleici is the walled old town of Antalya, wrapped around a Roman harbour that still works as one. It is the only part of this coast where you stay inside the history rather than driving out to look at it — Ottoman houses converted to small hotels, lanes too narrow for a coach, and a marina at the bottom of the cliff.
165 Kaleiçi (Old Town) hotels sit in our pickup index, so your driver gets the entrance, not the district.
Kaleiçi is the historic heart of Antalya, the old town still ringed by Roman-era walls, where narrow stone lanes wind between Ottoman-era timber houses now turned into boutique hotels, courtyard restaurants, and carpet shops. It's the part of the city people picture when they think of Antalya: bougainvillea over old doorways, cats sleeping on warm stone steps, and the Mediterranean glinting below at the marina. We grew up driving guests in and out of these lanes, and it's still our favourite drop-off in the city — five minutes after checking in, most guests are already lost in the alleys in the best possible way.
Kaleiçi isn't one uniform block. The area around Kalekapısı and Cumhuriyet Meydanı (Republic Square) is busier, packed with shops and restaurants, while streets closer to the sea — around Hesapçı Sokak and the Barbaros quarter — are quieter and more residential, with most of the boutique hotels tucked into old courtyard houses. Right at the centre, built into the old Roman harbour, sits Antalya Marina (Kaleiçi Yacht Marina), lined with yachts, boat-tour operators and waterfront restaurants — a lovely place for an evening stroll. Kaleiçi itself has no sand, but both Konyaaltı Beach and Lara Beach are a short taxi ride away, and we take guests to either one regularly for a beach day.
Kaleiçi's most recognisable sight is Hadrian's Gate, a triumphal arch built around 130 AD for Emperor Hadrian's visit to the city, still standing at the entrance to the old walls. A few minutes' walk away, the Seljuk-era Yivli Minare (Fluted Minaret), with its distinctive brick ribbing, is the unofficial symbol of Antalya. On the cliff above the sea, Hıdırlık Tower is our favourite spot to watch the sunset, and the adjoining Karaalioğlu Park opens onto sweeping views of the bay and the Taurus Mountains behind the city. Further along, Kesik Minare — the ruins of a building that has been a Roman temple, a Byzantine church and a Seljuk mosque in turn — is worth a stop for history-minded travellers. For guests wanting to venture beyond the old town, a short taxi ride takes you to the Antalya Archaeological Museum, the Düden Waterfalls, or Antalya Aquarium, and slightly further out to the ancient sites of Aspendos and Perge — all popular day-trip requests.
Kaleiçi's hotels are boutique and full of character, and we've built our routine around that. We regularly bring guests to Tuvana Hotel, set across a cluster of restored Ottoman houses, to the historic Doğan Hotel, to the marina-view Puding Marina Residence, and to the art-filled Mediterra Art Hotel. Because many streets in the old town are pedestrian or too narrow for a car, our driver will drop you as close to your hotel's door as the street allows and help carry your bags the rest of the way — so it helps to share your exact hotel address and any entry instructions with us before pickup.
Antalya Airport (AYT) is about 13 km from Kaleiçi, roughly 20 to 30 minutes depending on traffic. Whatever time your flight lands, we meet you at arrivals with a name board, and late-night arrivals get exactly the same service as a midday one. Our price is fixed at a fixed fare confirmed at booking, with no surprise charges for extra luggage or night arrivals. We take you straight from the terminal to your hotel's door, carrying your bags right up to it whenever the street allows.
Most walks through the old town start at the Ottoman-era Clock Tower by Kalekapısı and the adjoining Cumhuriyet Meydanı (Republic Square), the main gateway into Kaleiçi. Streets are cobbled, so comfortable shoes matter, and in summer we suggest exploring in the early morning or late afternoon rather than the midday heat. If you're watching the sunset from Hıdırlık Tower, aim for around 7 to 8pm in the summer months. Because the innermost lanes are closed to cars, guests staying deep inside the old town sometimes need to walk the last stretch with their luggage, so it's worth checking with your hotel how close a car can actually get before you book.
We're not a big fleet or a luxury brand — we're a family from Antalya who has been driving these roads our whole lives. We know which gates in Kaleiçi's walls a car can actually reach, which streets close to traffic in the evening, and when the old town's one-way system gets tricky. That local knowledge goes into every transfer, and if you have questions, just message us your flight number.
