Explore the charming Kaleiçi old town, visit Düden and Kurşunlu waterfalls, see Hadrian's Gate, the Clock Tower, and enjoy panoramic views from the old harbor marina. Professional English-speaking guide. Your driver collects you from the hotel, so there is no parking to worry about in the narrow lanes of the old town. Expect a fair amount of walking on uneven stone, a little spray at the falls and several natural photo stops, which makes it a good first day for anyone new to the city. Mornings are cooler and the harbour quieter; late afternoon gives warmer light over the cliffs.

Visit three of Turkey's most impressive ancient sites in one day. Walk through Perge's colonnaded streets, see Aspendos Theatre (one of the best-preserved Roman theaters in the world), and explore Side's Temple of Apollo. Hotel pick-up and return in an air-conditioned vehicle are included, so the long stretches between the three sites stay comfortable. Set aside plenty of walking time on uneven marble and stone, and bring a hat, sunscreen and water — shade is scarce around midday. Spring and autumn suit this route best, and an early start keeps you ahead of the coach groups.

The ground truth
11 Gazipaşa hotels sit in our pickup index, so your driver gets the entrance, not the district.
Keep driving east along the coast road past Alanya, where the Taurus Mountains start crowding right up against the sea and banana greenhouses line the shoreline, and you arrive in Gazipaşa. This is the Antalya region without the resort-strip feel — no wall-to-wall hotel blocks, no nightclub row, just a working Mediterranean town that still runs on its own rhythm. We're a family-run transfer company that has been driving guests between Antalya Airport and Gazipaşa for years, and almost everyone says the same thing on day one: "it's so much quieter here than I expected."
Gazipaşa actually has its own small airport, Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport (GZP), just a few kilometres from town. But most international flights still land at Antalya Airport, so the majority of our Gazipaşa guests travel the roughly 152 km with us — in a private car, at a fixed price, straight to the hotel door.
Gazipaşa's coastline is long, sand-and-shingle, backed by the Taurus Mountains, and usually surprisingly empty compared to the beaches further west. The İskele (harbour) neighbourhood is the old fishing heart of town — small boats, a handful of tea houses along the water, locals casting a line at sunset. The town centre market isn't built for tourists; it's a proper Turkish çarşı with a greengrocer, a butcher, and men playing backgammon over tea. It's a very different feel from Alanya's souvenir strip a short drive west.
One of Gazipaşa's best surprises sits almost within walking distance of the hotels: the ancient city of Selinus. The Roman Emperor Trajan died here in AD 117 while sailing home to Italy, and his body was briefly kept in what's now known as the Tomb of Trajan before being sent on to Rome. The Roman bridge over the Hacımusa stream, the remains of an aqueduct, and other traces of the old settlement are still standing today — usually a 5-10 minute taxi ride from your hotel, and it genuinely surprises guests who weren't expecting ancient Roman ruins on their beach holiday.
Near the village of Kahyalar, İnaltı Cave is an impressive natural cavern with a real underground river running through it and plenty of stalactites and stalagmites — about a 20-25 minute taxi ride from the centre. Climb a little further into the hills and you reach Sipahi, a stone-built Ottoman-era village of narrow lanes and citrus terraces that feels genuinely frozen in time; it's a favourite for photographers and for guests who just want a quiet afternoon away from the beach.
Roughly 45 km west is Alanya, with its clifftop castle, Damlataş Cave, Cleopatra Beach and the Red Tower — a classic day-trip route from Gazipaşa. About 50 km east, just over the Mersin provincial border, is Anamur, home to Mamure Castle, one of Turkey's best-preserved coastal fortresses, and the ruins of ancient Anemurium. Both directions are an easy private taxi ride from your hotel, no tour bus schedule required:
We regularly drop guests at hotels across Gazipaşa, including Kent Otel, Club Porto Amore, Green Park Hotels & Resorts, Güven Otel, My Dream Comfort Hotel and Paşa Apart Otel. No shared shuttle waiting for other passengers, no swapping between vehicles — just your own car, for your family.
Antalya Airport to Gazipaşa is about 152 km, roughly 2 to 2.5 hours depending on traffic.
