Antalya Airport to Aksu private transfer

Most travellers landing in Antalya have no idea they've already arrived in Aksu — both the domestic and international terminals of Antalya Airport sit inside this district, on the eastern edge of the city. What used to be a quiet farming area around the Aksu River has grown, over the last couple of decades, into one of Antalya's fastest-developing hotel and residential belts. It's roughly 15-20 minutes by car from the old town, Kaleiçi, and even closer to Lara beach.

The biggest surprise for most visitors is that a genuinely major ancient city sits within Aksu's own borders: Perge. Its Roman-era theatre, stadium, colonnaded street and bath complex are only a 10-15 minute taxi ride from central Aksu — no need to book a full-day tour to Side or Aspendos to see well-preserved Pamphylian ruins. Perge is one of the better-preserved ancient cities on the Turkish Riviera, and because it's technically "in Aksu" rather than a headline destination like Ephesus, it stays refreshingly uncrowded even in high season.

On the coast, Sarısu Nature Park is Aksu's other local secret — a pine-backed stretch where a shallow lagoon meets the open sea, popular with local families for picnics, walking trails and a quieter swim than the big resort beaches offer. It sits where the Aksu River (the ancient Kestros) reaches the Mediterranean, and it's known locally as a decent spot for birdwatching in the migration seasons.

Because of where it sits, Aksu puts a lot of the region within easy taxi reach. Aspendos, with its extraordinary Roman theatre that still hosts opera and ballet festivals, is about 35-40 minutes away. Belek, Turkey's golf capital and home to a cluster of large resort hotels, is 20-25 minutes down the coast road. Kaleiçi — Antalya's walled old town, with Hadrian's Gate, the marina and the sea-cliff drop of the Lower Düden Waterfall nearby — is about 15-20 minutes away, similar to the drive out to Konyaaltı or Lara beach.

Because Aksu sits right next to the airport, it's become a favourite base for guests with early flights, late arrivals, or short stopovers. We regularly drive guests to IC Hotels Airport, which is genuinely a few minutes from the terminal — perfect for a single-night stay either side of a flight. Red Flag is another Aksu property we transfer to often, popular with families and longer-stay guests. And guests heading to Tunç Suites usually land, collect their bags, and are checking in within about ten minutes of leaving the terminal. The distance between Antalya Airport and hotels in Aksu is usually around 6 kilometres, making it one of the shortest, most straightforward airport transfers on this coast — typically 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. We track your flight, so if it's delayed our driver simply waits; there's no extra charge for that. Meet & greet starts with a name board at arrivals and help with your bags, then it's a private, door-to-door ride straight to your hotel — no shuttle stops, no shared van.
