In normal traffic that's roughly 50-65 minutes; on summer afternoons in July and August, or around weekend changeover times, it can stretch to 80-90 minutes. We won't pretend it's a quick hop, but it's not a punishing two-hour haul either — it's a genuinely scenic hour along the coast, with the Taurus Mountains on one side and the sea on the other. Right next door is the ancient city of Phaselis, its Roman-era ruins spread between two bays and reachable through a pine forest walk — an easy half-day trip. A little further south are the ruins of Olympos and the Chimaera (Yanartaş), natural flames that burn from the rock day and night; the Olympos Teleferik cable car climbs Tahtalı Mountain to 2,365 metres for a Mediterranean panorama most visitors never expect. Kemer Marina's restaurants and nightlife, plus Göynük Canyon's zipline and rafting, are all within about an hour — land here and you're in the middle of a genuinely varied stretch of coast, not just another resort strip.
