Milas-Bodrum Airport to Bardakçı private transfer

Bardakçı is a quiet bay and residential district on the western tip of the Bodrum peninsula, sitting directly across the water from Bodrum Castle and tucked between Bodrum's old town and the livelier Gümbet bay. Local tradition ties the name to the potters who once worked the area, but today Bardakçı is known for its view rather than its history: look across the bay and you see the fortress walls of the Knights of St. Peter, and on the hill behind it the row of stone windmills that has become one of Bodrum's most photographed silhouettes. Compared with Gümbet's beach clubs and nightlife, Bardakçı feels calmer and more residential - boutique hotels, villas, and a handful of quiet coves - while still being a short taxi ride from everything Bodrum town has to offer.

• Bodrum Castle (Castle of St. Peter) - directly across the bay, a 5-10 minute taxi ride around the harbour road. Inside is the Museum of Underwater Archaeology, one of the world's best collections of shipwreck finds.
• Bodrum Marina - the yacht harbour lined with restaurants and bars, right next to the castle, an easy taxi hop from any Bardakçı hotel.
• Halikarnas Ancient Theatre - the surviving amphitheatre of ancient Halicarnassus, with sea views over the town; a few minutes by taxi from Bardakçı.
• Bodrum's old bazaar and the Zeki Müren Art Museum - whitewashed lanes, galleries, and the night market, easy to reach by taxi.
• Karaada (Black Island) - reached by boat from Bodrum Marina, famous for its sulphur mud baths; a short taxi gets you to the boats.
• Gümbet Beach - the neighbouring bay known for watersports and nightlife, about 5-10 minutes away by taxi.
• The Bodrum Windmills - the stone ruins on the ridge between Gümbet and Bardakçı, a favourite sunset spot, just a few minutes by car.
• Bitez Bay - a bit further on, quieter, known for windsurfing and its orange groves.

Further along the peninsula, the more glamorous villages of Türkbükü, Gölköy and Yalıkavak are around 25-35 minutes by taxi - doable as a half-day trip from your hotel.

Bodrum's gateway airport is Bodrum-Milas Airport (BJV), around 33 km from Bardakçı - roughly 35-45 minutes on the road depending on traffic. Your driver waits in the arrivals hall with a name board, helps with your luggage, and takes you straight to your hotel door. The price is agreed in advance at a fixed fare confirmed at booking, fixed and door-to-door - no meter, no haggling, no surprise add-ons when you land tired after a long flight.

Summer brings heavy air traffic into Bodrum, and plenty of flights land late at night. We track your flight, so a delay doesn't cost you anything extra and your driver will simply be waiting when you actually land, whatever time that turns out to be. The same applies for early-morning departures back to the airport - we'd rather be five minutes early than have you waiting.

Once you're settled in, you'll probably still need a taxi now and then - to Bodrum Castle for dinner, to a marina restaurant, to catch the boat to Karaada, or over to Halikarnas for an evening out.
