Adrasan & Suluada Boat Trip

Off the coast of Adrasan lies a small island with a big reputation. Suluada is known as the Turkish Maldives, and one look explains the name: sand so pale it seems to glow, water so clear that boats appear to float on air, and shallows that shift through every shade between green and deep blue. There is no road and no bridge — the only way to get there is across the water, which is exactly what turns this day trip into a small adventure.

The island is the headline, but the journey earns its place too. Adrasan sits on the quieter, greener western side of the Antalya coast, and the route threads past rocky headlands, tucked-away coves and sea caves that appear one after another as you go. The boat drops anchor in calm, sheltered bays where the water is at its clearest: slip in for a swim, drift on your back, or stay stretched out on deck and watch the colours change. From morning until the return leg, the sea does all the entertaining.

At Suluada the palette sharpens. A strip of white sand meets shallow, glassy turquoise — the kind of scene that looks retouched until you are standing in it. Wade out slowly, swim over the bright seabed and take the photos everyone will assume were shot somewhere far more exotic.
