Dalaman Airport to İçmeler private transfer

İçmeler sits just southwest of Marmaris, about 8-9 km from the town centre, and it has a different rhythm than its bigger neighbour. The name itself comes from the freshwater springs that bubble up near the shore and mix with the sea - locals have called it good for the skin for generations, and some visitors still swim there on purpose for that reason. It is quieter than central Marmaris, more family-oriented, and popular with British and German holidaymakers who want a long beach, a proper seafront promenade, and an early night rather than Marmaris's bar strip. Most of the resort sits along that one seafront strip, with a small grid of backstreets behind it holding the everyday shops, pharmacies and barbers that give the place a lived-in, non-touristy feel once you step off the front.

İçmeler's Blue Flag beach runs the length of the resort - a mix of fine shingle and sand, in a sheltered, shallow bay that stays calm even when the open sea outside Marmaris gets choppy. That makes it one of the safer swimming spots on this stretch of coast for younger children. The promenade behind it is lined with cafés, ice cream stands and fish restaurants, and it's an easy, pleasant walk at sunset with the whole bay lit up gold. During the day you'll find jet-ski and banana-boat operators working the water, and there's a small water park a short walk or taxi ride away if the beach crowds get too much on a hot afternoon.

A few genuinely worthwhile spots sit a short drive from İçmeler:

• Turunç - a smaller, quieter bay reached by a winding coastal mountain road, about 15-20 minutes by taxi from İçmeler (or by boat from the İçmeler jetty in season). Good clear water and far fewer sunbeds than İçmeler or Marmaris.
• Amos Ancient City - ruins on the hillside above Turunç, including a small amphitheatre with sea views. A short taxi ride via the Turunç road, worth an hour or two of wandering.
• Marmaris Castle and Old Town - 10-15 minutes by taxi into central Marmaris: the 16th-century castle and museum, the old bazaar's narrow lanes, Netsel Marina, and the bar street that comes alive after dark.
• Marmaris Cable Car (Hisönü) - a short taxi ride up to a cable car that climbs above the İçmeler and Marmaris bays for panoramic views.
• 12 Islands boat trip - full-day boat tours leaving from Marmaris harbour, stopping at coves and islands for swimming; a quick taxi from İçmeler gets you to the departure point.
• Dalyan - further afield but a classic day trip: mud baths, the loggerhead turtle beach at İztuzu, and the rock-cut Lycian tombs above the river.

Dalaman Airport (DLM) is the gateway for İçmeler, roughly 110 km away - about 1.5 to 2 hours on the road depending on traffic. This is the core of what we do: we meet you inside the terminal with a name board, we track your flight so a delay never leaves you waiting for us, and the price is fixed from the start at a fixed fare confirmed at booking - no meter, no surprise add-ons at the other end. It's a private, direct transfer to your hotel, not a shared shuttle stopping at three other properties first.

Late and overnight arrivals get exactly the same service - the Dalaman-Marmaris road is fine to drive at any hour, and night transfers are simply routine for us. We handle the return leg the same way, picking you up from your hotel timed to your departure flight so you're not sitting around the terminal for hours.

Swimming season generally runs from May to October, with the warmest sea in July and August - though those are also the busiest and hottest months on the beach and the roads. Early June and September into October are cooler and calmer, and hotel prices tend to drop too. Winter is genuinely quiet here; many seafront businesses close for the season, and visitors who do come tend to head into central Marmaris for restaurants and indoor spots instead.

İçmeler gets busy in peak season (June to September), so it's worth booking your transfer ahead rather than trying to arrange one after you land.
