• Kordon, the seafront promenade in Alsancak, is about ten minutes away by taxi and popular for evening walks and waterfront cafés.
• Asansör, the historic elevator on the Karataş hillside, rewards the short ride up with one of the best views of the bay.
• Kültürpark, with its museums, fairgrounds and green space, is an easy family outing by taxi.

For travellers heading across the gulf, the ferry from Konak Pier to Karşıyaka is a nice option, but for guests with luggage or a tight schedule, we simply drive you door to door.

Heading west, the beaches of Çeşme and the stone streets of Alaçatı are within day-trip range; north, the acropolis of Pergamon (Bergama) is also manageable as a single day out.
